Blue and grey color schemes are a safe combination for tasteful bedroom decor and perfect for a man’s bedroom.
In this short post, I have added my more masculine-themed artwork, to accompany the decor. They work well in this context.
In truth, black and white art, or photography, will complement most color combinations because they are neutral. They don’t clash – they can’t.
If you love nature or have an attachment to a particular animal, you can’t go far wrong with wildlife art.

Blue and Silver Grey Male Bedroom

A bedroom with classic blue and silver-grey bedding. The bedding has detailed stitching and is placed on a dark grey headboard with buttoned upholstery.
The bedroom has a black and white framed fine art drawing of a stag’s head above the bed. It has blue velvet curtains and is bathed in natural light.
Simple and easy bedroom decor that anyone can copy.

“It’s a classic stag portrait. He’s primed and ready to take on all comers. I visited Richmond Park in the heart of London, a Royal hunting ground where red deer still run free.
I visited in October, in the middle of the seasonal rut. That’s how I got this shot.”
Male Bedroom With Blue Walls And Grey Bedding

A bedroom with soft blue walls and medium grey bedding. The room has a simple and comfortable aesthetic. A plush grey throw adds texture to the bedding, and a blue bed skirt keeps the look cohesive.
A fine art drawing of a silverback gorilla hangs above the bed, adding to the masculine aesthetic.
A wooden bench adds functionality to the bed. A bedside cabinet holds a lamp and an alarm clock next to the bed.
This modest, uncluttered bedroom is clean, fresh, and cozy.

“This guy is the real deal. He’s a truly wild silverback. I saved up my pennies, flew to Uganda, and bought a permit to trek in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. We saw the largest habituated family, 18 members strong with 2 silverbacks, believe it or not.
Our permission granted us one hour with the gorillas, the time vanished in the blink of an eye”
Coastal Blue and Grey Men’s Bedroom

A coastal-inspired bedroom with muted blue walls, light grey bedding, and wooden elements like the rustic bedside log tables.
And just to prove I’m not totally obsessed with including my own artwork, there’s a framed ocean photograph on the wall that compliments the coastal vibe, perfectly.
The linen curtains provide privacy but allow the room to bathe in natural light.

A room with light grey walls and pale blue bedding, creating a clean Scandinavian look. There is white linen and pillows on the bed, and a dresser and bedside table made of light wood. A potted fern is placed on the dresser.
Two simple black and white framed pictures are hung on the wall above the bed. The picture on the left is a beautiful fine art drawing of a wild cheetah.
This minimalist classic Scandi design is simple, tasteful, and budget-conscious.

“Cheetahs are high on the list of ‘must-see’ animals on any game drive in Africa. There are no guarantees, but if you want to see wild cheetahs, there is no better place than the savannas of Masai Mara Reserve in Kenya.
This cheetah was one of 3 brothers who hunted together, and thankfully, this guy posed for me”
Dark Blue and Warm Grey Luxury Bedroom

A high-end bedroom with deep warm grey walls and navy velvet bedding, evoking a luxury hotel style. The room features a padded headboard in midnight blue, which complements the bedding and adds comfort.
Above the bed, there are three framed black and white pictures, a landscape, and two pencil portraits of big cats on either side.
The room has chrome light fixtures and a glass nightstand. The room is finished with patterned grey cushions for a refined touch.

“Two big cats in classic poses. They were both captive. The jaguar was in the Singapore Zoo and I visited at feeding time when they are active and alert.
The lion was in the lion park near Harare in Zimbabwe. This pose came about because another lion roared and his head shot up as I took a photo. Pure luck.”
Masculine Bedroom With Deep Blue Bedding and Grey Walls

A loft bedroom with a masculine feel.
The bed has deep blue sheets and white throw pillows. An oakwood bedside cabinet holds books and an alarm clock. The floor is made of oak wood. There is a hanging lighting with an exposed bulb.
Above the bed, there are two black and white framed wildlife drawings, one of a stag and the other of a beautiful white rhino.

“I’m highly critical of my own work, but I must admit, this one works for me. It’s one of my favorite drawings. The composition is well-balanced, and there is plenty of movement and atmosphere. I like the dappled shadows and dust being kicked up.
This rhino was in Ol Pejeta, a private game reserve in Kenya. It’s a relocated southern white rhino.”
A Man’s Bedroom With Light Grey Walls and Navy Blue Accents

A bright bedroom with light grey walls and navy blue accents on the pillows and throw blanket. There is whitewashed wood furniture, including a headboard and a side table.
A small black and white framed pencil drawing of a white tiger hangs above the bed. A woven area rug in muted shades is placed on the floor. The room has gauzy curtains that hang from a window.
The room has a relaxed seaside vibe.

“Sometimes it’s better to leave things out and simplify an image. This is a case in point. There were many reflections in the water and I knew it would be too ‘busy’. I blacked out the water to make the white tiger pop out of the picture.”

Mid-Grey and Light Blue Neutral Bedroom Idea For Men

A bedroom with cozy soft blue walls and medium grey bedding. The room has a simple, comfortable design. A plush grey throw adds texture, while a blue bed skirt keeps it cohesive.
Two framed pencil drawings of big cats are hung above the bed to give the room a male vibe and a point of interest.
There are 2 bedside cabinets with reading books and a cream lampshade.

“Long before I’d seen wild tigers in India, I had to visit zoos to get my pictures. This was, in fact, a Sumatran tiger housed in the London Zoo. I had a composition in mind. I wanted a headshot to try and draw a tiger looking out of the grass. A complete contrivance, call it artistic license”
Timeless Blue and Grey Bedroom Decor Idea

A room with deep blue walls, a light grey mid-century modern bed frame, and walnut accents on side tables for a warm touch.
The bedding is simple with a grey and white color scheme, and there is a navy throw on the bed. There is a black lamp on one of the side tables and a plant near the bed. The vibe is sophisticated and masculine
The centerpiece is a framed wolf art print above the bed adds the finishing touch.

“I was stitching images together long before Photoshop was a thing. This is a drawing of one wolf, drawn from 3 different photos, and recomposed as a pack. It’s a time-consuming task without a photo editor.
I’d use photocopies, cut out the animals, and rearrange them to visualize the composition. That’s what I did here”

A sleek, minimalist bedroom with slate-grey walls and navy blue accents in the bedding and pillows. The room has streamlined black furniture, including a black bed frame and nightstand.
There’s a single framed black and white drawing of a black bear above the bed. A charcoal area rug covers the floor, and white curtains hang from the windows. The room has a calm, modern vibe and is kept clutter-free to maintain a tranquil space.

“Sometimes you face an ethical dilemma. Zoos are hit and miss, and welfare is an issue. This was a captive black bear in a Darjeeling Zoo in Northeast India. I was there to visit the successful snow leopard breeding program annexed to the zoo, and naturally, I had a look around.
I came across this Moon Bear in one enclosure. It wasn’t pacing or showing obvious signs of distress, so I took some photos. Sometimes you have to make a judgment and run with it”
